Veterans We Salute You!
by John on Nov.11, 2009, under People
I always try to express my gratitude to veterans but today our country sets aside this day to remember and honor you. Your sacrifices, commitment and loyalty have all played a part in helping sustain our Liberty and Freedom in this United States of America. Although there are many disagreements about war and engagement – I think it is important for you to know that there are many who love and support you. So today – know that you are loved, supported and prayed for…and not taken for granted.
Remember
by Brittany Vigoreaux
American soldiers sacrifice so much,
All for the freedom of our country.
Leaving their families and heading off to war,
Not knowing what the future holds.
Working day and night
Determined to stay strong.
Watching friends be killed every day
Letters from home inspiring them to keep fighting
So little is given to them
Although there is little to do,
For those who have died in war
We can still remember
Remember all the men who have died.
Remember all the battles fought
Remember all the tears families cried
Remember it was freedom the soldiers brought
To this very day soldiers are under-appreciated
Veterans Day is the day
For the dead, living, and fighting soldiers
To be remembered
U2 in Chicago

- Jammin with U2 Soldier Field Chicago
Several years ago I told my son that if U2 ever comes to Chicago that we would be going to see them – it’s always been a dream of ours. Well that dream came true last night as we watched and listened to U2 jam through the night. It was a great show…a memory maker, hanging with U2 fans and family. We sang along, danced and were inspired by U2′s passion for the well being of the world – the disadvantaged in Africa particularly. I think Bono has set the bar high for Rock Stardom – leveraging his influence to help humanity…hats off to you brother!Get on Your Boots
Celebrating 20 Years of Marriage

John & Chris
I just want you to know that I’m more in love with you today then I was twenty years ago. When I think of the time that we’ve shared together I’m reminded of the conversations we had during our courtship. We discussed the conviction of cultivating a heart for God individually…knowing that would be the glue in our relationship. The truth of that conviction has become so evident as we’ve navigated the valleys and mountain tops over the last twenty years. We also were exceptionally aware that God gave us to one another as a gift…one to be valued and honored. That value has been critical in keeping our relationship in perspective. I can honestly say that I’m more in love with you now then I was twenty years ago. The covenant we entered with God, the security of loyal love, the joy of companionship…oh may we never lose them! I attached the song that we played at our wedding. It continues to be a critical reminder of the love and gift that God has given us.♥ Our Wedding Song
