This is the “Human Sling Shot” in Beijing China. I’m never up for this kind of thing but coaxed on by some friends I took the plunge…or maybe it was just a “mid-life” adventure.

Mt. Biking The two Johns or John and Juan or PJ & JM or the two mid-life brothers enjoyed a morning bike ride this week. We managed to cover sixteen miles and even did a little single track.  Check out the link for rough footage of brotherly fellowship, giving directions, burning calories, etc…

Zeek Chillin in Back Seat

All five of us, I mean six of us crammed into the family sedan and off we went on our annual family vacation. Ten hours later and six hundred miles added to the odometer we arrived at Deep Creek Lake, MD. After enjoying  7 days of fresh mountain air, great fishing, sleeping in, and unfettered calorie intake (good food & plenty of it), I began to realize that the best part of vacation is the memories of time together as family.  I have many fond memories of this vacation but I will particularily recall the joy of seeing ZEEK (our handsome Lab) laying across the laps of the three girls in the back seat…hair shedding, tongue hanging, uncertain where we were taking him but happy and satisfied to be with the pack.
